The Great South Bay region of Long Island, New Yok, is the habitat of the famous Long Island duck, and motor trucks play an important role in rushing live ducks (for Jewish and Chines trade) and freashly killed ducks to the important New York City market 75 miles away. In the accompanying illustrations are shown two Internatioanl Harvester motor Trucks utilized for hauling this special Long Island good product to market and also for transporting feedstudds and essential supplies on the return trips. the larger heavy-duty truck is an HS-54 2-1/2-ton International, Owned by Charles E. Robinson, Brookhaven, Long Island. The Smaller unit is of SF-36, 1-1/2-ton six-cylinder type and is owned by Nayhew Tower, East Moriches, Long Island.
